The request filed with the Oregon Public Utility Commission seeks to raise another $1.9 million annually, a 2.76 percent overall revenue increase. The company seeks to cover its costs to replace or lay new pipeline, Mark Hanson, company spokesman, said Monday. Industrial gas rates would increase by 9.2 percent, if the PUC approves the request.

It’s the second rate request in about year for Cascade Natural Gas. The company in April 2015 asked for a 5.11 percent increase, about $3.6 million in additional revenue annually, but the Oregon Public Utility Commission in December approved a smaller increase, 1 percent or $590,000 in additional revenue.
