The council approved a severance package for City Manager Andrew Gorayeb who agreed to resign Thusday after complaints from co-workers.
Gorayeb was placed on paid leave Feb. 25 after Frye and other council members received complaints from city employees regarding the former city manager’s behavior. An investigation by the Sisters insurer Citycounty Insurance Services, was summarized in a report that was completed earlier this month.
The contents of the report, which detail specific allegations against Gorayeb, aren’t currently available to the public. The report’s findings didn’t confirm allegations of bullying and harassment and weren’t enough to fire Gorayeb with cause, according to Frye, but they did lead to the declined disciplinary action.
