Gov. Kate Brown fires Oregon Lottery director

ASSOCIATED PRESS: The governor fired Oregon Lottery Director Jack Roberts on Tuesday over “management problems.”
Roberts, a Republican and former gubernatorial candidate, has had the lottery job since 2013.
In a terse letter written by Brown's chief of staff, Roberts was told that his employment was "terminated effective immediately."
