Bullard Law attorneys continue to be recognized by Best Lawyers® for the 2017 Best Lawyers in America© listing. Of the ten Bullard Law attorneys listed, Victoria L. Macpherson has been named the Best Lawyers 2017 Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Portland, OR.
Only one lawyer in each practice area for a particular geographical region is named “Lawyer of the Year,” which makes this award a distinguishable honor. Receiving this accolade expresses the amount of respect a lawyer has amongst their peers regarding their abilities, professionalism and integrity. Tory was also named Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in Portland for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law in 2013, in addition to Bullard Law attorney Thomas I. Kramer who received the distinguished award in 2011 and 2016.
First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Each year, attorneys are nominated by anyone but themselves for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America listing. Primary sources for the nominations include clients, fellow lawyers and marketing teams. Once nominations are collected, ballots are generated and distributed to listed lawyers who vote. Voters vote on a numerical scale regarding how likely they would be to refer a case to the nominated lawyer if they weren’t able to take the case themselves. Lastly, the Best Lawyers editorial staff review the votes.
