Dental equipment maker A-dec made its first-ever acquisition earlier this year, purchasing Stelte Dental Systems of Mukilteo, Wash., for an undisclosed amount. Phil Westover, senior product manager, says the move doesn’t signal a new strategy for the private company. Stelte makes dental cabinets that fit in with A-dec’s existing product line. A-dec has close to 1,000 employees.
