Umpqua Holdings Corp. announced the acquisition of several banks.
Umpqua Holdings Corp., parent of Umpqua Bank, announced the acquisition of Western Sierra Bancorp and its subsidiaries Western Sierra Bank, Central California Bank, Lake Community Bank and Auburn Community Bank. The new banks, adding 31 branches that will operate under the yellow and green Umpqua pine tree logo, will extend the bank’s reach into Northern California. Ray Davis will continue as CEO of Umpqua. Umpqua Holdings has its headquarters in Portland, while Umpqua Bank is based in Roseburg.
