Golden Temple of Oregon, a natural-foods maker, will undergo a $50 million upgrade over the next five years. This is the company’s largest expansion since it began 33 years ago. Golden Temple, known for its cereal, tea and snack bars, expects to hire about 160 new employees. Natural and organic foods are a rapidly growing industry that brought in about $22.8 billion last year. The Eugene company is part of Khalsa International Industry and Trade, an international conglomerate that includes a tea company, a security firm and a computer-consulting group.
