Clackamas County will consolidate several developmental services into a new $36 million building by August 2008. The 125,000- square-foot facility will house several departments including assessment and taxation and economic development. According to Marc Gonzales, county finance director, this is the second building to be constructed on a 55-acre lot as part of a facilities master plan begun in 1998. “We’re building our home rather than leasing it,” he says.
