CraterLakeSoda.jpgPORTLAND — With a switch from taps to bottles, Crater Lake Soda, brewer of gourmet soda bottled in Oregon, is adding three new flavors — orange cream, lemon-lime bitter and vanilla cream — to its original root beer, previously only available at McMenamin’s restaurants. Now all four flavors will be available in grocers throughout the Northwest this month. Bottling facilities in Northeast Portland will ship an estimated 30,000 cases as far as Alaska this summer. Crater Lake Soda doesn’t use caffeine or foam enhancers and sweetens with plain cane sugar. It may not be as pure as its namesake, but not bad for soda.
