A tour of the AC Hotel, a downtown Portland establishment targeting millennials.
Floating shelves, air plants and natural wood features abound. So do cocktails — served on tap. The hotel walls showcase locally produced art, and the space features plenty of cool display items from PDX emporiums like Tender Loving Empire.
All this is an attempt to make the Marriott brand appeal to twenty-somethings seeking the hip new thing.
