Eugene company Good Clean Love, a manufacturer of organic sexual health products, won a $165,000 investment prize at the Willamette Angel Conference.

CEO Wendy Strgar was one of 10 entrepreneurs who presented at the conference, where 33 investors pooled their money to award the prize.

Strgar said she is the quintessential example of a homegrown entrepreneur who found herself presenting at her very first investment conference. She came up with a product in her kitchen in 2003, graduated from the Lane Community College small-business management program, and now runs a company with $250,000 in annual revenue.

“Frankly, I didn’t think I’d get this far,” said the mother of four, who admitted that she’s so busy running her company that she lacks the polish of “some of these professional pitch-givers.”
