PHOTOS: 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon Celebration

The evening kicked off with a reception in one of the hotel's splendid ballrooms.

The awards dinner took place in the Grand Ballroom. 

Keynote Farres Alkhaiyer, a community services fellow at Healthy Democracy, spoke of his struggles to form a nonprofit that advocates for democratic change in his home country Syria.  Alkhaiyer was subject to death threats and surveillance by the Syrian regime.

The Top 10

Small category: 

The number one small nonprofit: NTEN

The winners of the number one small nonprofit take the stage to accept their award. 

In second place in the small category: Amani Center

In third place in the small category: CASA of Jackson and Josephine Counties

Medium category: 

The number one medium nonprofit: Summit Learning Charter

Summit Learning Charter accepted the awad for number one medium nonprofit

In second place in the medium category: Inclusion

In third place in the medium category: Children’s Center

Large category:

The number one large nonprofit: Baker Charter Schools

Baker Charter Schools accepts the award for the number one large best nonprofit 

In second place in the large category: Adelante Mujeres

In third place in the large category: Logos Public Charter School
