Openings and Closings
— Vancouver has another waterfront restaurant as of Monday. WildFin was developed by Gramor Development, which is based in Tualatin. This is the fourth business to announce its development on the waterfront property as part of a $1.5 billion project.
— The new Wacom Experience Center opened last week on July 14. Located in the Pearl, Wacom is open to anyone interested in creating art or working with design products on hand. The 2,500-square-foot space is intended to be a place for artists in need of a short-term location, or anyone looking for a quiet place to be creative.
Revolving Door
— Mike Temple has left the ship, Urban Airship that is, where he served as chief financial officer. Temple is now reportedly working as a consultant. He’s not the first to leave Urban Airship, co-founder Michael Richardson left for AppNexus.
— Nike has promoted Steve Lesnard from general manager of Running in North America to GM of Global running. Lesnard has worked for Nike for the past 19 years, in positions all over the world.
— Sarah Chisholm has been hired as chief financial officer for Central City Concern. Central City provides housing and services for people experiencing homelessness. Chisholm joins the nonprofit with a background in business and financial strategy, as well as chief administrative officer for Cascade Behavioral Healthcare.
— PBS Engineering and Environmental has a new port sector manager. Todd Coleman was the CEO for the Port of Vancouver before leaving for the Portland engineering firm. Coleman told the Portland Business Journal the exit was timed for four years after starting with the Port. He was successful.
